The Monaco Yacht Show is considered the most prestigious pleasure boat show in the world with the exhibition of 500 major companies in the luxury yachting and a hundred super and megayachts afloat.

With a record attendance of 33,000 professional and private visitors at the 2012 edition, the MYS is the long-awaited superyachting meeting of the year for the prestigious brands, allowing them to meet the most important international clientele.

The FBI National Academy was founded in the 1930s at the instigation of President Roosevelt, who was concerned about the rise in crime. The FBI National Academy quickly put in place a 12-week national and scientific teaching programme aimed at trainee police officers.

In 1962, following a specific request by President Kennedy, the National Academy opened its doors to officers from friendly foreign countries, on condition that they were full-time police officers aged 25 or over. At the Academy, they can take courses in leadership, behavioural science, law, training skills, communication and forensic identification.

These FBI National Academy sessions are held in a different country each year (2011 – Tbilisi – Georgia). They enable all the police officers who qualified at this Academy, which is based in Quantico (Virginia – USA), to update their knowledge. The first session was held in London in 1982.

The Monte-Carlo Masters (as of 2012 sponsored by Rolex) is an annual tennis tournament for male professional players held in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, France, a commune that borders on Monaco. The event is part of the ATP World Tour Masters 1000 on the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) Tour. The tournament is played on clay courts and is held every year in the April-May period.

The Monte Carlo tennis championship was first held in 1897. It became an "Open" event in 1969. Between 1970 and 1989 it was a major tournament of the Grand Prix Tour as part of the Grand Prix Championship Series top tier events, before becoming an ATP Championship Series Single Week tennis event.

Beginning in 2009, Monte Carlo became the only ATP World Tour Masters 1000 tournament to not have a mandatory player commitment. Most of the top players still select to play the event.
